Widget: Search

Function

With the Search Widget you can search through the entire website. The results will be displayed on the Search system page. Here you can also indicate how the search results are displayed

Insert Widget

• To make a widget visible on the website you must add it to a page or to a layout. In this document you can read how widgets are placed within the page or layout.
  
  • Drag the new widget to the correct column or row within the page or layout.
  • In the overview, select all available widgets for the Search widget.

Settings widget search

After releasing the Search widget in the correct location, the settings screen will open.

• Panel: add panel
• Title: Enter a title that is shown in the title bar of the panel
• Icon: select icon
• Text above the searchbar: Extra text above the searchbar

Link systempage and search page

The search results are displayed on the Search system page. You may want to use a different layout for the search results page or that it has a different lay-out than your website. To adjust this, do the following:

• In the main menu, select Site Management 2.

• Click on Pages in the submenu.
• In the System Pages folder, choose the Search page.

• Click the icon to adjust the page.
• Click in the upper bar on the settings

• The following screen will open:
  
  

• Pagetitle: Here you can enter a different title for the search page.
• Layout: link layout to the page
• URL: change web URL of the search page
• Page icon: add icon to the search page
• Standard theme: add theme to the page

Adjust results page

It's also possible to adjust the resultspage.

In the main menu, select Site Management 2.

• • Click on Pages in the submenu.
• • In the System Pages folder, choose the Search page.
  • Open the Search system page.
  

• click on the   icon to open the system page search settings.

Settings

• Link color: Select the color for the link to the page with the search term.
• Number of characters short text*: The number of characters that the example text may consist of.
• Number of results per page*: How many results per search term on the results page.
• Highlight color: Select the color for the search terms.
