My Captain - Change login details

 

After the members My Captain have received login details from the association, it is possible for the members to change the login details. This information can be changed by the members themselves on the website of the association.

To use this functionality a link must be placed on the webpage of the association and the member must have login details for the My Captain section of the website. In the standard My Captain menu, Edit login details is already included. If you use the default My Captain menu on your website, you do not have to add this link anymore.

Systempage My Captain Login Details

The systempage Adjust My Captain login detals is already provided with the forms widget; this page only has to be linked to your own menu.  

  • Click on Site management 2 in the main menu.
  • Choose Menu
  • Select the right menu where the link should be added to (link has already been added to the standard My Captain menu).
  • Click on the  IconM hamburger icon to see the menu items overview.

  • Click on the IconS Plusje icon to add a new item.

  • Name the menu item
  • Click Search to add a link

  • Select Page as type.
  • Choose My Captain
  • Select the item Adjust Login details to link the system page to the menu item.

Link on own website

If the website is made in a package other than e-Captain, the administrator of the website can add the following link to his own website:

http://name-site.e-captain.com/my-captain/account

The name is used as the name of the e-Captain account of the association, see example below:

Now the link is added to the menu, a member can make changes individually.

Change username

  • Click Adjust Login details in the menu
  • Navigate to the Change Username Tab.

  • Change the Username
  • Click Save
  • The following notfication will appear if the username was changes successfully:

Change password

  • Click Change login details in the main menu
  • Navigate to the Change Password tab

  • Change the password and confirm again
  • Click Save
  • This notification will appear if the changes are saved successfully:

  • If the password you choose is invalid, you'll see this notification:
