Groups tab

General

Groups are important on e-Captain and using this tab. Using groups, there are many things you can do effectively. You can e.g. link committee functions to members. But you can also tag sponsors, donators, members completing courses, certificates or diplomas and more. It depends on how you want to use e-Captain for your organisation.

Group classification

• You select a main group.
• Next you can see all the available choices for that group.
• Selecting the arrow in the Group field, you will see an example set of the group functionthat is available in the demo version.

• Select a funtion in the Items field.
• Double-click the function.
• Or you select the small black arrow pointing to the right.
• The selected function will now be linked to the member on the right.

This way, you can link many items to the member. You can see an example of what can be linked to the member below. Your groups and mapping dictate what you can link to a member. Everything that you link can be returned to the list using the report generator. This way, you can creat a number of definitions of what a member is involved in or what diplomas he/she has.

Below is an example of a member that is a management member member, has two functions and is also a trainer.

Speed classification

• Selecting the button Speed classification, you can select a handy summary to show the involvement of this person.
• Select Save to save.

• If you have organised members in groups, you can query them conveniently from the membership administration.

• E.g. if you select the filter Committee, you will see only those members that are committee members. You can arrange groups entirely to your liking.
