Another option for calculating subscription fees in e-Captain is by using groups. You can allocate a fee per group. A person can be a member of several groups and pay a fee per group membership. You must first create groups.
- In the main menu go to Management centre.
- Click on Groups.
- Choose Maintain groups.
- Create a new group and click on Save.
- An additional component will appear where you can create group items with linked amounts.
Now the groups and group items have been created. The groups must still be linked to the members and the automatic fee. To link the group to the automatic fees:
- In the main menu select Management centre.
- Click on Subscription fee.
- Select the item Settings subscription fee.
- Tick the box for Calculate groups if amount has been completed?
- Click on Save to confirm the changes. When calculate groups is selected members in groups will be scanned for any fees associated with the groups.
Linking groups to a member
In Member management you can link members to groups.
- Open the relevant member card.
- Click on the Groups tab.
- Select the required group and group item.
- Click on the black arrow to link the group/group item to the member.
- Now the fees associated with that group will appear under the Items tab.
