Convert to company

When converting a private individual to a company, data is lost, but this only concerns personal data that does not belong to a company. Invoices etc are retained, the membership number also remains the same.

To convert a membership card to a company card, follow these steps:

• In the main menu, choose Member management.
• Select the correct member card you want to convert in the member overview.

• Click on the Company button in the menu bar of the membership card.
• Click the OK button in the pop-up that opens.

• If the membership card has been converted to a company card, you will see the following message appear on your screen.

Data lost by conversion

• Data that is really bound to a person, such as date of birth, profession, marital status, nationality etc.
• The first name, initials and the insert are also lost.
• The surname will be the company name that can of course be changed afterwards.
• The Contact tab disappears, this data is moved to the General tab. Here we check what has been entered on the membership card.
• If a member has entered 'contact work' data, the data for 'contact private' will be lost and these 'contact work' data will be used as the contact details for the company.
• If private data is entered, but no work data, then the private data is the new contact data.

Links

The Links tab also disappears, where family members and partner can be linked.

This is replaced by the Contacts tab, where, for example, employees can be linked to the company.

Linking contacts is via the General tab.
