Two-step authentication

With Two-step authentication you need an extra security code besides your username, password and pincode. To obtain the extra security code you can use the e-Captain Security app. Make sure you have installed the e-Captain Security app on your device.

When you login for the first time using Two-step authentication you have to make a choice between using the e-Captain Security app or the Google Authenticator app to activate Two-step authentication.

Activating Two-step authentication

When you login for the first time you have to activate Two-step authentication by using either the e-Captain Security app or the Google Authenticator app.

• Click on the Activate e-Captain Security button

• Open the e-Captain Security app on your device en click the button to add a new e-Captain account. You can add multiple e-Captain accounts.

• Scan the QR-code OR manually enter the 16 digits code.

• After scanning or entering the 16 digits code the app shows an 8 digit security code. Enter this  8 digits security code in to your browser

• Enter the 8 digits security code in step 4 of the activation proces to proceed to e-Captain. Please note: the 8-digit code is only valid for 60 seconds. After 60 seconds you need to enter a new security code. The purple line show you how much time you have left.

• Click Finish to proceed

• Two-step authentication has now been activated for your account. Click Finish to proceed to e-Captain.

Login with Two-step authentication

When Two-step authentication has been activated and you login to e-Captain you will receive a push notification form the e-Captain Security app with the 8 digits security code.

• After login you need to enter the security code from the e-Captain Security app.

• Open the e-Captain Security app on your device to obtain the security code.

• Click the green YES button to proceed to e-Captain OR enter the security code manually.
