What are active and inactive relations/objects?

Active and inactive relations

e-Captain works with active and inactive relationships. Active relationships, as the name suggests, are actively used within the system. You work with active relationships in the present, or they have been actively used less than 1 year (12 months) ago.

You pay more for active relationships than for inactive relationships. Inactive relationships are relationships that seldomly have any activity. They are not invoiced or used within accounting. You can use inactive relationships in the mailing module or in your reports. You only pay a small amount for inactive relationships.

Active relations

• All current members.
• All relations ** with an item or article that has not yet been invoiced
• Creditors and debtors used up to 1 year ago in accounting.
• Captain considers all relationships, with an invoiced article up to 1 year ago, as active. (This also applies to former and non-members)

** The term relationship means a creditor, former member, non-member or a current member.

Inactive relations

• All creditors, former and non-members who do not count as active relationships.

Active objects

You can register objects in e-Captain. Think of berths, lockers, parking places, et cetera. You can compose your own objects. e-Captain uses the same price for these objects as for active relationships. Count the number of objects (berths, lockers, etc.) that you want to register.

e-Captain can also register relationship objects, for example boats or cars. No additional costs will be charged for these. For example: you link a boat to a relationship but you do not place this boat in a berth.

Resumé

• Count your active relationships and objects. This makes up for the basic costs of your e-Captain license.
• Active relationships and objects are subdivided into blocks of 100.
• E.G. Do you have 335 active relations and 25 active objects? Then you have a total of 360 active relations/objects.
• Within the standard Captain basic license you get 300 active relationships and objects.
• You have a total of 360 and need an extra block of 100.
• So your price class is an e-Captain 400 license with 400 active relationships and objects.
• Count the creditors, non members and old members that you want to register. Together they form the inactive relationships.
• Non-active relationships are subdivided into blocks of 500.
