Another option for calculating subscription fees is by age category. To do this you must link each member to a member type (age category) and the age table will be used to calculate subscription fees.
- In the main menu click on Management Centre.
- Click on Subscription fees.
- Click on the item Maintain member type.
- Create a member type.
- In the item Age Table, set the value to YES
- It is not necessary to enter the subscription amount – this will be taken from the Age table.
- Once you have Saved go back to Management Centre.
- Click on the item Subscription fees.
- Choose Maintain age/subscription fees.
- To add a new age click on the icon.
- Enter the Age from and the Annual subscription fee.
- Under Membership Type choose which type of member you want to link the age table to.
- Save.
- Under Determine date taking effect from age indicate which date the age should be determined for subscription by age category (In this example, on the 1st of January 2016, all members aged 17 or less, are considered ‘children’). The members date of birth must be known.
Linking fees based on age of members
It is now possible to link members to a set member type. This is done in Member Management.
- In Member management open the relevant membership card.
- Go to the tab Membership.
- In the drop down click on Membership type, choose the type of member (In this example ‘Relation’, we have linked this member type to the age table).
- Click on Save.
- Once saved, a line with the subscription fee and an age category will appear (In this example, Membership children, €20).
- Under the Items tab a fees line will be automatically added.
