Widget: Ticker

Function

With the widget news ticker you can display information on your website by means of a news ticker. A news ticker contains scrolling text or shifting images.

Insert Widget

To get a widget visible on the website you must add it to a page or to a layout. In this document you can read how widgets are placed within the page or layout.

• Drag the new widget to the correct column or row within the page or layout.
• In the overview with all available widgets, select the widget News Ticker.

Settings Widget

After placing the Ticker widget, the settings screen will open.

• Ticker: Choose a ticker that you created in the Management Center.
• Panel: You can select a panel. When you click on the  Edit icon, you can define a new panel using the IconS Plus.
• Icon: If necessary, choose an icon to place in front of the title of the news ticker.
• Title: Gives your news ticker a title.
• Title alignment: Allows you to choose how you want the title to be aligned.
• Height in pixels: Choose the height of the news ticker.
• Visible: Allows you to determine when the news ticker is visible

Creating a news ticker

Creating a news ticker starts in the Administration Center. You will find here under Website Management 2 > Manage tickers

By using the  icon you can create a ticker.

• Name: Name of the news ticker.
• Direction: You can choose here how the text or image should behave. The directions that can be chosen are: from left to right, from right to left, from top to bottom, from bottom to top.
• Speed: There are five speeds: Slowest, Slow, Normal, Fast and Fastest.
• Icon: Choose a separator icon to separate the different messages or images.
• Padding: Determines the distance between the messages and / or images and possibly the separation icon.

When you click on the burgericon, you can enter a message or choose an image for your news ticker.

Click on the icon and the following screen appears: 

Enter messages you want to display in the news ticker. If you choose Image for Message type, you can enter images. You can also link an image to, for example, a web address using External link.

By choosing a variable, you can display information from a news item in the news ticker, such as Date, Author, Title, Introduction and Image.
